What types of cancer does it cover?

It is designed for all types of solid tumors including those of unknown primary tumor.

In how many days will the results be available?

The results of the PrIMe Assay will be available in 15 working days.

What specimen type is required for the prime DX Assay?

For the prime DX Assay we need a paraffin block that contains the tumor tissue.

For the prime DX Liquid analysis we need blood in special vials that you will receive from Genekor. (Cell-Free DNA BCT®(10ml) and Cell-Free RNA BCT®(10ml)).

Are there any special transportation conditions?

The sample should be kept at room temperature (25°C). During the summer period we recommend to have an ice pack in the Kit (The ice pack should not directly touch the sample).

Is the test covered by any public/private insurance?

For information about the cost coverage of the test you should contact your personal insurance.

How do I make the payment for the test?

The payment can be made by bank transfer or credit/debit card.

How will I receive my results?

Your results will be shared with the ordering physician via e-mail.

Why should I sign the consent form?

Genekor Medical S.A. is certified with ELOT EN ISO9001:2008 and ELOT EN ISO15189:2012, which require the written consent of each patient for the use of his/her genetic material for testing.
